Meet Our Team
The George Agency’s founder, J. Wayne George, established The George Agency in 1983 as a general agency for life and health products. Since then, The George Agency has grown it’s product offerings from health and life insurance, to personal and commercial insurance. Wayne has built a team of insurance agents that are committed to serving the businesses and individuals across South Carolina.
Wayne founded the George Agency in 1983 as a general agency for life and health products. He is responsible for the planning and overall direction of the agency. He worked with the Municipal Association of South Carolina in the mid-2000’s to develop a supplemental insurance and employee benefits program that benefited municipal employees all across South Carolina. He served on the Mullins City Council for 8 years, Mayor of the City for 16 years, and most recently served in the general assembly as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for 4 years.
J. Wayne George
Bradley, a graduate from the University of South Carolina, joined the George Agency in 2014. At USC, he majored in Risk Management and Insurance. He also obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from Francis Marion University. Licensed in all lines of insurance, Bradley concentrates in the Life and Health insurance markets. He is a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church and Mullins Rotary Club. Bradley is also an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and serves on the Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Bradley J. George
Richard, a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, joined the George Agency in 2011. At CCU, he majored in Finance and has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Licensed in all lines of insurance, Richard concentrates in the health and commercial insurance markets. He is a member of Marion Baptist Church and the Marion Rotary Club. He is married to Shelley Marsh and has two children, Rylyn and Easton. In his free time, Richard enjoys coaching his kids in sports, playing softball, and following the Gamecocks and Chanticleers athletic programs.
Richard M. Marsh
Mary Catherine, a graduate from Coastal Carolina University, joined the George Agency in 2018. At Coastal, she majored in business management. Licensed in all lines of insurance, she is responsible for assisting and servicing current individual and group health insurance clients. She is a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoys good food, family, and South Carolina Football.
Mary Catherine Ward
Alice, a graduate of Horry Georgetown Technical College, joined The George Agency in 2019. At HGTC, she majored in Accounting. Alice brings over 30 years of accounting experience to the team as she will be assisting Medicare beneficiaries and individuals find the best policy in the marketplace. She and her husband are members of Marion Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Alice B. White
Ryan, a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, joined the George Agency in 2016. At CCU, he majored in Accounting and Finance and has been in the financial services industry for 13 years. Ryan’s focus is helping clients understand, determine, and meet their needs whether it be health or life insurance. Ryan is registered tax preparer with the IRS as this experience enables him to provide the best advice possible when it comes to subsidy eligibility and business compliance. He is happily married to Carey as they have one child, Eli.
Ryan Hanson
Alisa, a graduate from Tulane University joined the George Agency in 2023. At Tulane, she majored in Health & Wellness. Prior to completing her bachelor’s degree, she obtained certifications and worked as a Clinical Medical and Administrative Assistant. Alisa has spent the last decade as both an escrow officer and Realtor. However, recently has rediscovered her true passion in the world of healthcare. Licensed in all lines of insurance, she concentrates in the Life and Health insurance markets. Outside of work you can find Alisa supporting her husband—an elementary music teacher and local musician—at his performances around town with their two daughters and Mini Goldendoodle, Gumbeaux. Alisa is also a parishioner of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Founding Member of Junior league of the Grand Strand, serves on the CCAR Housing Opportunity Group, CCAR Community Outreach Advisory Group, a Notary Public for SC and a member of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, National Health career Association, National Association of Realtors, and the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors.
